The mission of BYG's Mentors Plus program is to provide the youth of Bloomfield, ages 6 to 16, with a one-on-one meaningful mentoring relationship with a caring adult. The intent is to build a trusting relationship between the adult volunteer and a child that will enrich and benefit a child's life. Volunteers are screened, trained, and interviewed by Oakland County staff. Mentors commit to spending as little as a few hours a week with their mentee doing things they enjoy.

Area Children Need You

As a Mentors Plus volunteer, you'll become a friend and an invaluable role model for a youngster who needs you. Just an hour a week can make a lasting difference in a child's life. Volunteers make a one-year commitment.
